Podiatry at Home (Wakefield) is a mobile Podiatry and Chiropody service providing a high quality footcare service at a reasonable price.
We can provide advice and treatment on a wide range of foot health problems.
Chiropody and Podiatry are now protected titles and can only be used by practitioners who have studied their Profession for 3 years at University. This is to ensure they have adequate medical knowledge, are following ethical codes of practice and are providing a certain standard of treatment. The following letters after the practitioners name are proof of their qualifications , BSc Pod or DPodM.
The old term of State Registered has been replaced with HPC Reg, which stands for Health Professions Council Registered. This register is the only regulatory body recognised by the NHS, and is a sure way of checking if your practitioner is qualified. Most Chiropodists are also members of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists too. This is represented by the letters, MSChP.
